Awesome deals! Thanks, Happy Money Saver!.

Hit a few snags at Rite Aid today, namely that they were out of stock on the cheaper Revlon tools and I couldn’t find any c. Booth items cheap enough to be worth buying.  Still not bad though!

Total cost $1.68.  Would have been $0.71 profit if I didn’t need the dish soap.  Remember that there’s a mid-week ad to check out on Wednesday as well!

Head on over to Kerrygold’s website and click the link there to complete a short survey (takes two or three minutes). When you finish, you’ll be able to print a coupon good for a free package of Kerrygold cheese or butter. The Blarney Castle gouda is available at Safeway and tastes pretty good.

I just got back from Safeway, and after making a regular purchase of just food and some soda, a Catalina coupon printed out (you know, those long paper coupons that print out from grocery stores with your receipt) that was good for one free Bright Green cleaning product up to $3 value, no purchase necessary.    I grabbed some all-natural Lysol-type cleaner and was surprised when they actually gave me $0.30 back.  I guess shopping at Safeway earns you 10% discounts on Bright Green products (whether or not you’ve earned one will show at the bottom of your receipt), and I had earned a 10% discount, even though the item itself was free.  I wish I knew what I bought that prompted the Catalina Q to print, but keep an eye out.  Better-than-free cleaning products!

I just got back from Target and noticed a lot of new clearance. It’s still only 30% off, but so keep an eye out for any further drops and new items being added. Lots of toys (GeoTrax, some dolls and some generic toys, mostly), Shark floor mops and even some Dyson vacuums were clearanced so far, but we’ll see what else gets added. After-Christmas clearance is my favourite time at Target! 😀 I can’t wait. So, here are the deals:

Philadelphia Cream Cheese, 8 oz, $1.19. Use the printable $0.50/2 Target Q and combine with the printable $1/2 MQ. Final price $0.44 each wyb 2. (Great price!)

Kraft Shredded or Brick Cheese, 8 oz, $2. Use the printable $0.50/2 TQ and combine with the $1/2 MQ. Final price $1 each wyb 2.

Air Wick candles, $2.99. Use $3/1 coupon from 11/14 SS. Final price FREE. There is also a $2/1 coupon coming in the 12/12 SS, which would make your final price $0.99. However, Rite Aid has a better deal this week where with four $2/1 coupons your final price will be $0.25 each.

Pictureka Card Game, $5.74. Use this printable $5/1 Pictureka MQ. Final price $0.74.

Suave Naturals Conditioner, $0.97. Use the $1/1 Target Q. Final price FREE.

Oscar Meyer Lunchables, $1.27. Use the $1/1 MQ on Target.com. Final price $0.27. You could also combine the coupon with one of Safeway’s double coupons to get any Lunchable up to $1.50 free at Safeway.

Check out more Target deals for the week at Totally Target.

You can follow Frugal NW on Facebook now, meaning the updates will show up in your news feed instead of having to come to the blog itself.
Check it out!

According to For The Mommas, Walgreens has changed the terms on their Super Jingle Cash. Now it will only print if your total is $25 after coupons. I’m not sure what prompted the change, but hopefully they change their mind about it. I have never spent >$25 out of pocket at Walgreens before, so I’d definitely be missing out on this one.

I won’t bother posting my deal scenario for these items since the sale is over tomorrow, but I got 12 packages of Hallmark wrapping paper, four L’Oreal Lash Boosting Mascaras, one Revlon Top Speed nail polish, one Garnier Herbashine and one Playdough play set for $6.99 profit. I also went back later and got three Crayola Pop Art Pixies kits for $0.37 each, normally $9.99. Very happy with Wags today.

Don’t forget to take advantage of your Video Values coupons. You can earn two $1 off any purchase coupons and one $3/$20 purchase coupons, not to mention tons of great coupons that can be combined with manufacturer’s coupons and UPRs for great deals. The coupons you earn this month will be available until 12/24 and expire on 1/22.

Rite Aid is having a four-day ad in addition to their regular ad (starting on Wednesdays) every week until Christmas.

Keep in mind that your purchases from now until the 24th will qualify for Rite Aid’s Gift of Savings (GOS) program. You’ll need to sign up and enter your receipts, just like with the Single Check Rebates, and Rite Aid will do the rest of the work for you. Before coupons, if you spend $25 to $50 before 12/24 then you’ll earn a $5 certificate. If you spend $51 to $100, you’ll earn $10. If you spend more than $100, you’ll earn a $20 certificate. You can only request one certificate, and it must be spent all in one transaction (not like a gift card).

With that said, here are the best deals I see:

Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste, 6 oz, $3.50. Use $1/1 coupon from 12/5 SS and earn $3.50 UPR. $1 profit.

Gillette Fusion ProSeries, BOGO 50% off. PSA $7.99. Use 2x $2/1 Gillette coupon from 11/28 PG and use 2x $3/1 Gillette ProSeries coupons from the Rite Aid Coupon Book (available at the pharmacy). Final price, $1 each wyb 2.

Blistex Lip Balm, 2 for $3. Use $1/2 MQ from 11/14 SS and receive $1 UPR wyb 2. Final price, $0.50 each wyb 2.

Air Wick, select items, BOGO free. Candles $5.99. Use $2/1 Air Wick Candle coupon from 12/12 SS or $3/1 Air Wick candle Q from 11/14 SS. Receive $3 UPR wyb $10. Buy 4 for $11.98, use 4x $2/1, pay $3.98 oop, receive $3 UPR. Final price $0.25 each. If you have the $3/1 coupons, this deal will net you $3 profit!

See the rest of Rite Aid’s weekly ad here.

And though there’s not too much of note, here are the best four-day ad deals, beginning on 12/15:

Gillette Fusion Manual or Power Razor, $9.49, use $4/1 MQ from 11/28 PG and receive $5 UPR. Final price $0.49!

Pepsi 2 litres $0.89.

Check out the rest of the four-day ad here.

I’ll update with further deals and scenarios as I come across them!

Some good deals at Walgreens this coming week!  There is also a mid-week sale going on that starts on Wednesday, 12/15 and goes until Sunday, 12/18.

Most importantly, there is a promotion going on until Christmas where when you spend a certain dollar amount, you receive a register reward that’s only valid the following week.

Spend $25, get $5 RR.
Spend $50, get $10 RR.
Spend $75, get $15 RR.
Spend $100, get $20 RR.

The dollar amount is calculated before sales prices, rewards prices and manufacturer’s or store coupons, which makes it fairly easy to earn.  You cannot spend that RR (they’re calling it “Super Jingle Cash”) in a transaction and expect to earn another one in return though.  This is called “rolling” your RR, and Walgreens almost never allows it.

On to the deals for the week!

Buy 2 select Hallmark gift cards, tissue wrap or Color Studio wrapping paper and get $2 RR, buy 6 and receive a $5 RR.  Gift cards start at $0.49 (big profit on these) and wrapping paper is $1.99 for a 50 sq ft roll.

Goody hair accessories, 12- or 17-pack Ouchless elastics or 6- to 12-pack bobby pins or barrettes, $2 each.  Receive a $2 RR.  Final price free.

Activ-On Joint and Muscle or Arthritis Pain Relief, 2 oz, $7.99.  Receive an $8 RR.  Final price free.

All toys buy one get one 50% off.

Dr Pepper, A&W, 7up, Sunkist and Hawaiian Punch 2 litres, $0.89 each.

Check out the rest of the ad scan here.

And the four day sale that starts Wednesday, 12/15:

$6.99 toys, buy one get one free.

Mars candy, $0.39.  Buy six and use the $2/3 Mars candy coupon from the 12/5 Red Plum to get them for $0.06 each.  (Note:  You should be able to buy only three and have them adjust the coupon down to the purchase price, but chances are that the clerk might refuse to do this even though it is clearly spelled out in their coupon policy.  If they do this, purchase price will be free.)

Coffeemate Creamer, 16 oz, 2/$3.  You can use two $0.55/1 coupons from the 11/14 RP to get them for $0.95 each.

Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel, $5.99.  Use the $1/1 store coupon from the Everything Bright and Beautiful booklet (available at the cosmetics counter) and receive a $5 RR.  Final price free.

Walgreens Energy Booster $3, receive a $3 RR, final price free.

Check out the rest of the four-day ad here.

Walgreens coupon policy states that you cannot have more manufacturer’s coupons than you have items.  Since Register Rewards count as manufacturer’s coupons (MQs), this can pose a problem.  For example, if you buy two candy bars and use two coupons, they will not let you use a Register Reward to pay for your total since that would be three total MQs.  You can counteract this by having a “filler” item in your purchase–something as cheap as you can possibly find.  If you bought the two candy bars, used two coupons and then bought a $0.20 pencil, you could use your Register Reward to pay the total.

Good filler items this week:

Holiday gift bags, $0.12 each.
Mandarin oranges or mushrooms, $0.39 each.
Christmas candy, $0.39 each.
Christmas votive candles, $0.17 each.

I’ll post some purchase scenarios for Walgreens in the next day or two!
